Request to form the Ministry of Steel and Petrochemical

The steel and petrochemical industries have requested that the government establish separate ministries for the two as soon as possible, given the state of petrochemical and steel production in Iran.

Recently, the Petrochemical Employers’ Association and the Association of Steel Producers issued separate letters to the government, possibly in coordination, seeking the declaration of independence from the Ministry of Silence and the Ministry of Oil.

They have called for the government to set up separate ministries for the two as soon as possible, given the state of petrochemical and steel production in Iran.

This issue arose after disputes between petrochemical companies and the Ministry of Oil, as well as steel with the Ministry of Silence, although petrochemical companies had raised this issue in previous years.

Interestingly, in response to these letters, the government stated that this issue could be considered in the next government, and no such decision would be made in the twelfth government.
