Scully was a broadcaster for the Dodgers for about 67 years. He died last night in his home in Hidden Hills, located near Los Angeles. Family members informed his death, and they did not say the cause of death. Dodgers’ official photo page on Twitter is charged to black with the name of VIN in the center. Dodgers said, “There will never be another Vin Scully. You will be forever missed.”

Vin started his work in sports in 1950 until 2016, when he retired at the age of 88. He has the longest record for staying with a single team in the history of professional sport. In addition, Scully was the speaker in many football and golf games for CBS Sports and the lead baseball announcer for NBC Sports. He also speaks on CBS Radio from 1979 to 1997. His voice is unforgettable for most people in America and fans all around the world.

When he was only four years old, his father died, and his mother, Bridget, married another man who was a silk salesman. When Vin was at Fordham University, he found an assistant sports editor job. Then he sent more than 150 letters to all Eastern seaboard stations, and just one station replied to him, CBC Radio. It was the start of an adventure in the world of sportscaster where he never let it down.
