Jahangiri, Qalibaf and Ahmadinejad are the options in the Iranian presidential election

The representative of Urmia in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, stating that all political currents in the country are consulting and holding intensive meetings at the national level and forming provincial headquarters for the presidential election, said: There are options to participate in the election, including Ishaq Jahangiri And Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf pointed out that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was also interested in running in the elections but had not yet behaved in a specific way.

Referring to the activities of political currents in the elections, Vahid Jalalzadeh said: “Next year we have two presidential and council elections ahead, in which all political elements and activists are active, sub-national and regional meetings are being held, but due to the vacuum of the election law.” They cannot perform their activities in public.

He continued: “The election law has placed so many restrictions on the election campaign that it must be done in a limited time, so now the political currents have entered the election space through informal meetings.”

The representative of the Islamic Consultative Assembly explained: “Currently, all political currents in the country are consulting and holding meetings at the national level in Tehran and equipping headquarters in the province and recruiting, but because the election law is limited, they can not formally convene and enter.” Are. In a country as big as Iran, the limited time of one week to 20 days for campaigning is very short. Candidates should be given at least three months to enter the election campaign after being approved.

Regarding the activities of political parties and currents, Jalalzadeh said: “As I explained, all current currents in the country are working informally to select their candidates and have formed provincial headquarters. We hope that the people will participate in the elections due to the country’s political and economic climate.” Of course, this goes back to the performance of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the government, especially in the process of approving the 1400 budget so that the people can hopefully participate in the elections.

The member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the parliament clarified about the options for running in the elections: There are options from both the fundamentalist and reformist currents, but some have come to leave only a name that we have witnessed every time. Others have been taken more seriously and with certainty, some of which we hear in the media.

The representative of Urmia in the Islamic Consultative Assembly stated: At present, Zarif, Jahromi, Jahangiri and Dehghan are among the options. I have heard that some people are also interested in a certain presence in the elections. There are very strong rumors that Mr. Qalibaf will also be a candidate, Nikzad and Amir Hossein Ghazizadeh have also started their activities, and Saeed Mohammad and Rostam Ghasemi are also mentioned as other options.

He continued: “According to my information, Mr. Ahmadinejad is also interested in participating in the 1400th election campaign, but like other people, he does not see any movement to form provincial headquarters. He had several interviews and speeches before, so the election behavior and special mobility of Mr. Ahmadinejad’s side is not visible.
